Decent place, especially for the price. All I want in a hotel like this is a clean room, and that's what I got, with one exception: the floor was not vacuumed. Every other part of the room was nothing fancy, but clean and equipped well enough for a short stay. The front desk staff was kind. There were some interesting tenants and loud guests, but I felt perfectly safe as a younger solo female traveler. It was a no-frills, freeway exit type of hotel, with lots of travelers who needed to get some rest for the night.
Location is great for easy access to the freeway for overnight guests. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well in the room. 90 degrees outside when we stayed. The carpeted floors were in need of cleaning as when I removed my shoes and went barefoot, over the period of a few minutes, the bottoms of my feet were quite dirty. On the day we arrived, we checked in early by the grace of management, and then left mid-day to run errands and shop. Upon return, the door lock had been changed and we had to go back to the front desk for new access cards. The room does not appear to provide enough electrical outlets to cover all the provided amenities at the same time so you can make coffee, but not microwave at the same time, etc.
I went through booking.com, and the experience was horrible. But, my husband called the hotel and Andre did what he could to not only fix the situation but gave us an upgraded room. Thank you so much to Andre for your outstanding customer service. You made the experience 10× better.
It's funny, my wife and I like to spend a night alone to ourselves, we would pay $135 at Tru Hilton and here we paid 65 dollars, they had a couch!!! Bed was comfy and the staff was nice... Would highly recommend
ABV is a budget-minded motel in a light industry area of Fort Collins near I-25. A gas station and convenience store is located close to the property, and there is a pool. Rates were higher than advertised, however. The room was large enough and decently clean. There are inside corridors, but only a flight of stairs to the second level inside. We struggled with the luggage up the stairs, only to find that the magnetized keys did not work. And there were no luggage racks in the room. There was a nice hot breakfast including self-make waffles in the morning. My issue with this motel was the security deposit, which was twice the room rate. I understand the need for this, but twice the room rate seemed excessive, especially since I not told about it when I made the reservations. I don't like this kind of surprise because by then it was too late to go elsewhere. Since I wrote this review, things at this motel have taken a serious downturn, despite the comments from management. The motel badly needs an upgrade, and the evening front desk staffer was condescending if not rude and quite smug. This motel wants to play with the Big Boys amd charges accordingly but can't back that up with service and amenities. The damage deposit has increased sharply. In the room there was a green field bug on the sheets and the other room areas are badly in need of upgrades. The location is close to I 25 and is rest is all you need, it was quiet.
