After my last extended stay, I would not stay here again if I could at all help it. The staff are friendly, but the hotel itself feels like it's on the verge of falling apart. Elevators randomly stop working through the day - with me on them once! Asking for something as simple as the bathroom trash being taken out every day is seen as a massive undertaking that's impossible to even begin to arrange. Housekeeping won't even touch your room unless it's the third day of your stay, and you MUST request it - it does not happen automatically. There is one washer and dryer for the entire complex, the restaurant and bar seem to randomly close without rhyme or reason, and it's a coin flip whether or not someone will actually be available at the front desk to help you. Given the physical shape of the hotel - nothing seems to match as they've randomly replaced things as they go - and unless you get the rate of a lifetime to stay in what's technically a suite, you'll be much better off going to any of the competitors less than a mile away.
This hotel seemed like a great place to rest between some long drives, however our family’s experience was unfortunately the opposite. We arrived late due to severe hailstorms and checked into a king room with a pull out couch for our kids. When I pulled out the couch/bed, it only had a mattress pad on it, which was broken, stretched out, and had a ball of hair tangled in it. It was covered in crumbs and didn’t even cover the mattress. When I took it off, there were even more food remnants under it. I swept it off and called the front desk to let them know we needed a new mattress pad, sheets, pillows, etc. so we could make up the bed. The person who answered was kind and polite, but he said he didn’t have any more mattress pads and offered sheets instead. I asked him what I should do because it was late and I was trying to get my kids in bed. He told me to bring the mattress pad down and he would get me some sheets and pillows. I went downstairs and waited at least five minutes, calling for someone at the front desk. No one was there. Finally he walked over with nothing in his hands, said he was dealing with a situation and asked me to wait while he got sheets. I brought them up, started making the bed, and realized there were no blankets. I called again, and this time, just asked if we could switch rooms to a room with a bed that was made and ready for guests. He said the beds don’t come made on the pull out couch. This is the first hotel I have stayed in that doesn’t prepare the beds for guests, when they are obviously expecting four guests in a room with one king bed. We asked for a double queen room and he said they were all sold out. We had been in the room since 10:46 and didn’t have what we needed to make the bed until after midnight. Additional notes: the TV by the couch didn’t work, the shower/tub was incredibly slippery, the room wasn’t clean (hair on the linens, food all over the floor in the couch area, and sticky stuff on the nightstand), and the website listed Bath & Body Works toiletries, which wasn’t true. The evening staff were less than accommodating and took forever. The pull out mattress was extremely thin and uncomfortable. Staff is rarely at the front desk.
Room was clean and inviting. We’ve been here many times before. Location is awesome! Couch in our suite is very old and sinks, not comfortable at all. We wish that even a small complimentary continental breakfast was offered in addition to the coffee in the lobby. Gets you started for the day before you head out to Old Town and elsewhere for lunch and dinner!
This is a fantastic hotel! The service was amazing and the rooms are very nice. We were visiting from Colorado Springs and we'll definitely stay here when we come back. The pool was a little small but very refreshing and clean. Overall a fantastic place to stay!
BEWARE. I had to fly into town because my mother passed away. I unfortunately chose this Hotel. The first room smelled like beer so we asked for another - cig smoke - finally we gave up and stayed in the third stale room. The phone didn’t work, they didn’t have towels and they made every step difficult. To top it off: The day we were to check out we asked the front desk for a few more minutes past noon, but they said that was fine and we were packing up and all packed but at 12:15 the cleaning lady pounded on our door and said “check out is at noon” I said “I know we are leaving right now, I’m a mess my mother passed away.” To this she called the cops and falsely claimed my boyfriend and I we were having a domestic violence dispute. I was so shocked and mortified. The cops came and nothing happened, obviously. BUT filing a false report on someone to be petty is illegal and just insane.
