The fish and chips are great and light, the pizzas and burgers are tasty. I have never eaten anything off the menu I didnt like over 20 yrs of visiting. Favorite beer is the Cask Punjabi Pale Ale. The service is always great as well. Keep up the good work guys!

Coop's has a great atmosphere and a choice northwest-facing patio for people-watching in the square. This is the ideal place to bring a group of friends and enjoy the square in the summer. I come here often with colleagues during the warm, sunny season. During the winter, there's not a whole lot to offer. The atmosphere inside is dark and lends itself more to a quiet, small gathering on the pub side (the pool side is mainly a younger, more rowdy crowd). The place has great beers (the IPA is one of the most popular, but if you ask me the Kolsh is where it's at; in all honesty though, the What-a-melon beer is the real reason to even come here), but the food is mediocre. Dishes are overpriced and underwhelming. I've tried most menu items and found the only ones worth ordering are actually the pizzas and the artichoke dip. Their dip is by a wide margin the best in town. Anywhere this dish is offered, I order it, so I can say with confidence and a wealth of information to judge from, that it is the best in comparison to other local restaurants. All in all, it's worth a visit.

Coppersmiths is a long time standby for us in Old Town and we are happy they are still open with plenty of patio seating. Tonight we had their home made Irish Stout on nitro which was pretty much Guinness and their in-house cream soda. We had the Coops burger and the Devil's Backbone buffalo burger and they were great. Service is generally polite and fast and one of our favorite beers (the watermelon seasonal during the summer) is exclusive to here. We come here probably once a month without fail.
