For a three star hotel, I give it a five star rating. The room was nice, the setting of an atrium was very nice and the service we encountered was very good. Having the Tesla chargers on site sealed the deal when looking for a place to stay in Fort Collins. Highly recommend this place and the executive level free breakfast certainly added the extra exclamation to my strong recommendation of staying here.
I took my girlfriend on a romantic weekend away from the kids on the motorcycle. I had flowers delivered and their romantic package (champagne and chocolate covered strawberries) in the room upon arrival. Everything was perfect. I was more than pleased with the staffs attitude and willingness to help give the person I care about an evening for her to feel loved and appreciated. We felt the accommodation where clean and comfortable.
This Hilton is an older hotel (built in 1985) and has a popular design from that period, with an open atrium in the center and rooms around the perimeter. The hotel was apparently remodeled in 2017, and it's pretty nice. The common areas are lovely, but some areas definitely show wear and convey the hotel's age. (The fitness room has outdated-looking machines, the hot tub could use a fresh coat of paint, etc.) Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub. There are 3 key things that keep me from giving the hotel a higher rating, and I would not stay here again because of these. (1) Our room was not particularly clean. There were hairs from various previous guests and various dog breeds, especially in the bathroom. The bathroom itself was in need of a deep scrubbing (it looks like the baseboard tile work hasn't been cleaned in years). (2) The rooms do not have refrigerator/microwave combos, and I haven't seen a hotel without those in 15 years. (I do realize that this chain is geared more towards business travelers than families, but I think those should be everywhere by now.) (3) The hotel doesn't have queen-size beds, so if you get a room with 2 beds, you will have 2 full beds. We were able to pay more and upgrade to a king/sofa bed room. [Note: My husband and I have been working remotely for 1.5 years, and we have been traveling for 8-12 weeks a year with our kids, so we have seen a LOT of hotels during this time. This may be a great hotel for a business traveler, but I wouldn't recommend it for families.]
We love the Hilton Fort Collins! We would recommend them for business or leisure travel. It's right across the street from Colorado State, so extremely convenient if you have something going on there, but centrally located for getting around town as well. For our latest stay in August, everyone was so nice and helpful and quick to fix any issues, specifically digital/card key issues. The service in general was just superb.
I stayed here on Saturday with my wife and baby boy. The level of customer service I received from both Chris and Arlo went above and beyond anything I've ever experienced anywhere. Simply amazing. The hotel itself was also very, very nice and the location is great as well. I will definitely be back.
