Decent for the price. Very friendly staff! Brin is very sweet and accommodating. Room on the 3rd level was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Nice functioning business center. Only downfall was no hot breakfast. We stayed here because of our experience with the HIE in Sterling, all great, including hot breakfast. Chain hotels should be like fast food restaurants and all offer the same experience. Now we have to check out early because we didn't realize this property doesn't have breakfast! Additionally, it is EXTREMELY UNFAIR, even in a small property, to expect the Front Desk clerk to service guests, field guest phone calls and serve breakfast. A BIG ask that is also not up to sanitary code for food service! The management needs to address this immediately!!!
Really the only reason I am not giving it a 5 star, is because the grass is filled with dog and rabbit feces. Makes it difficult to let your dog use the restroom outside. I understand there are a lot who don’t clean up. But, I do. Covid restrictions were followed. And the rooms were sanitized. It was a clean facility inside. Breakfast lacks. And I didn’t get a welcome member amenity. The front desk at check in was very pleasant and sweet. She got side tracked with giving out pup loves. Which I wasn’t mad about. But, I did have to ask for my room number and key. The morning front desk, at check out, needed coffee to wake up. He was struggling with even a smile. If I come through here again, it’s a 50/50 chance I’ll stay.
Great room, great hotel. Man at the front desk named Derek was especially helpful and perfect. I highly recommend Holiday Inn, and certainly this one in particular.
The desk clerck was my favorite part of my stay... Feel bad I didn't get her name but she was a pretty red head who didn't like getting her nails done... But she was fun and entertaining...we also loved that we had the pool all to ourselves.
I've stayed here in the past. The first time was great. However the second time I stayed, it was not a pleasant experience. The breakfast was not supportive for gluten intolerance, and the staff were rude. My room was dirty when I checked in and the Hampton was cheaper to stay and is a much higher quality room, very nice staff, and great breakfast (even during COVID).
