We like this restaurant because the service is wonderful and they have comfortable widespread patio seating. Service is prompt... they're fast in that kitchen! In fact this happens to be the only place we've dyed out since April of 2020! After not dining out for over a year it's a bit of a jolt to see how much it costs to have someone else prepare and serve your food to you. Unfortunately unless the food is spectacular this is what you are left with. I like this place... I do. And it's one of the best staffed restaurants around I just end up leaving with a feeling like it cost a lot.
Now THIS is Mexican food! I haven't had Mexican cuisine since Tucson and Seattle years and years ago. Seriously, this is the best. If you've never had upscale Mexican cuisine you must try it. Far more than chips 'n salsa and burritos, this is the real thing. I'd give them 10 stars if it were possible.
If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant that is much more than a big pile of chips this is it. Well presented, unique, far from run of the mill. High end quality at moderate cost. This is the best the Fort has to offer. Enjoy!!!
Food is good but $$$. I believe service is part of the experience , The service gets 1 star and that is generous. We waited and waited for water & chips. The manager was Anna, she said depending on how the customers complains dictates if you get compensated for poor service. In today's world gas is up up and $$ is tight eat where you are appreciated , not where your seen as a bother.
La Buena Vida has delicious food and I've enjoyed it since it's opening. It has become quite noticeably more expensive but the quality of food seemingly stays the same. I will say that it's better for small groups of people as it is a loud room. Lunch time is the best time to hit it in my opinion. Lunch is cheaper but you don't get as much food as dinner. Overall it's a good place to get some quality food.
