The staff, food and ambiance is amazing! We cannot thank them enough :) The only downside is interacting and working with the events coordinator, Kelly. She is unprofessional, extremely behind on email responses and phone calls. We had to hunt her down (visiting the hotel, calling her number and all other numbers and emails galore) to be able to receive a loose confirmation for our rehearsal dinner. We are extremely frustrated with her as she overcharged and underdelivered. It took months for her to respond to emails.... this one experience was the most difficult to book. We asked for a final invoice, which was not received until AFTER the night of, and overcharged as mentioned. Her manager was able to step in and assist to make things right, though that took until the night of and recapped after (don't worry, Kelly wasn't present to the event). The Armstrong Hotel is absolutely wonderful, the staff and management was perfect. The food outstanding, the service received from Kelly was not. As long as she improves, you will be glad you booked with them... best of luck to you all!
We had a wonderful stay at the Armstrong. We spent two nights here - our room was spacious and comfortable and clean, staff was kind, communicative and super helpful. We rented bikes from the hotel for the day which was fun. (And free!) Would definitely come back!!
Lovely gem that I was glad to experience. Dropped in on a Wednesday to relax in a room with a soaking tub after a long week and ended up staying through Monday. The location and the overall vibe of the place had my wife flying out to meet me so she could enjoy Fort Collins via The Armstrong as well. Look forward to another stay when we can. Next level staff (special shouts for Marcus and Troy) made a fantastic location all the better.
It's a tough place to review. It's clearly very quaint, with attention to detail just about everywhere, from the lobby to the cafe and of course the rooms. The location is also perfect, with Old Town at your doorstep, and the foothills just minutes to the west. There are also several parking lots available for overnight parking at $15/night -- the closest one just behind the building. The difficultly in deciding between a 3 or 4 start review is because of THE NOISE. I mean we all know it's an old building, but we could hear our neighbor sneezing. We could hear the folks above us walking around, and especially anytime someone turned on a faucet or god forbid flushed the toilet... So loud! They provide earplugs in the room, which is considerate given that the train's just a couple hundred feet away, but man, just, like, don't expect to sleep in, or to have much sound-privacy. It's only tough to swallow because of the lofty price on the rooms. I decided on 4 stars because honestly the staff was delightful, the property design and location is just perfect, and my wife tells me I'm too picky and sensitive. So maybe the noise was mostly in my head.
We stayed here for a week, I've never been treated better!!! If you're looking for a great fun place to stay 10/10 would recommend staying here. They make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. I love it here and I'd definitely stay here again!
