What was good was AMAZING. loved everything about the decor and the interior. The fried chicken was marinated in pickle juice which made it super juicy and tender. The breading was thick and perfectly seasoned. Loved the sweet potato fries, the biscuit, and the mixed berry jelly. My bourbon mule was perfect. The macaroni and cheese was unfortunately mediocre and the honey mustard tasted like yellow table mustard, but the rest of the meal made up for that in spades.
This place was so cool, it's like a whole little community right off Timberline. I drive by it all the time, but the first I have ever stopped in. Had lunch with a friend, and it was so nice. Staff was super friendly, and the food was great. I had a Colorado Cubano which I thought was excellent, however be careful if you don't like hot, that horseradish will sneak up on you. Can't wait to go for dinner some night, so I can try a cocktail. Had a non alcoholic rosemary lemonade, and it was a taste explosion. All in all a fun place to give a try if you haven't.
While I can’t speak for their lunch offerings, The Farmhouse serves a mean brunch. Like... schoolhouse bully levels of mean. Everything we’ve tried here is outstanding. Brussels Sprouts aren’t a normal brunch offering, but these ones make me believe they should be. They’re crispy and seasoned perfectly, with a lovely green goddess sauce. Avocado Toast is perfect, and the Pork Belly Eggs Benedict is heaven on a plate. Plus, if you order breakfast potatoes, they’ll give you enough food to feed a small militia. Their fresh-squeezed orange juice is so good that I usually order two or three before the check comes. Seriously, just come get some brunch. You won’t regret it.
Absolutely incredible from start to finish. We accidently made a reservation for outside (oops!). The host, Steven, was so wonderful and managed to get a table for us. Absolutely was my fault and they still went out of their way to help us out. Lauren was also so sweet and we were never lacking for service. The food was amazing, so tasty! And of course the ambience was great too. No complaints and only good things to say. Great job!!
Granted, I've only been here once and had only one dish, but the dish was NOT impressive (one star). However, the neat atmosphere gives it about four, so we'll settle on three. My husband and I went here for brunch a while back. There was very little wait time, polite staff and (as mentioned above), the place is really unique. We were seated upstairs at a charming little (and, I do mean LITTLE) table. The seats were quite uncomfortable and if I remember correctly, we were really close to a bussing station, which wasn't awesome. I had the chicken and blue corn waffle. It said fried sage in the description, but I didn't expect mouthfuls of nothing but sage ... that's what it was though. The whole dish tasted like plants. Pretty disappointing. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to trying the place again, and I wouldn't let one dish deter you from trying it, either. Just steer clear of the sage (*dramatic spine shivers*).
