I am not sure what is going on with the reviews on this restaurant lately. This is hands down one of the best restaurants in Fort Collins. The atmosphere is beautiful and coz and every one of the staff is smiling and so nice! It has a beautiful mix of relaxed yet upscale. The dinner menu is fantastic and beautifully done. Brunch will leave you completely satisfied! The blue corn waffles are the best waffles I have ever had. I would say give them another try if you wrote something bad because it won’t disappoint! If you haven’t tried it, it’s a must!
This review is for the Brunch, as I haven't had either the lunch or dinner options. The entire experience was great! We were seated promptly (had reservations) outside in the patio area. From what I can tell, reservations are probably a good idea (we went on a Saturday morning). The had a donut special that day which was an almond donut and it was amazing! We ordered the Achiote Chicken Salad and the Chicken and Waffles. Both were STUPID GOOD. Very flavorful, especially the chicken and waffles... We'll definitely be going back.
Absolutely incredible from start to finish. We accidently made a reservation for outside (oops!). The host, Steven, was so wonderful and managed to get a table for us. Absolutely was my fault and they still went out of their way to help us out. Lauren was also so sweet and we were never lacking for service. The food was amazing, so tasty! And of course the ambience was great too. No complaints and only good things to say. Great job!!
Granted, I've only been here once and had only one dish, but the dish was NOT impressive (one star). However, the neat atmosphere gives it about four, so we'll settle on three. My husband and I went here for brunch a while back. There was very little wait time, polite staff and (as mentioned above), the place is really unique. We were seated upstairs at a charming little (and, I do mean LITTLE) table. The seats were quite uncomfortable and if I remember correctly, we were really close to a bussing station, which wasn't awesome. I had the chicken and blue corn waffle. It said fried sage in the description, but I didn't expect mouthfuls of nothing but sage ... that's what it was though. The whole dish tasted like plants. Pretty disappointing. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to trying the place again, and I wouldn't let one dish deter you from trying it, either. Just steer clear of the sage (*dramatic spine shivers*).
Service was excellent, and it does show potential, but a bit over priced for mediocre food. The fried chicken did have a tasty batter, but the meat itself wasn’t cooked right and the serving size was small for the cost. The Parmesan truffle fries I ordered for an side would have been delicious- if they were warm. The worst part of our meal was the dessert. The blackberry “cobbler” was more of a crisp. With very little crisp. Should have been called blackberry pie filling with a sprinkle of granola. Very disappointing. The best part? The mojito. Although they were out of the watermelon flavoring, they made me a blackberry mojito (much better use of the blackberries than the cobbler). Would go back again to try some of their cocktails, and possibly the bread pudding, due to the friendly staff and servers.
