The Moot House has now been added to the list of places to eat, even in Fort Collins. I do highly recommend a reservation for faster seating, but even without a reservation, we only waited 15 minutes. Love the feel and atmosphere of the restaurant, it's definitely cozy, but I will say that, because this place was so amazing it was packed, so it was louder than I like, but, once again, it was packed. The Calamari is the best calamari I've had, hands down. I highly recommend this appetizer. You will not be disappointed. I had the Bison Burger, and the wife had the fried chicken sandwich (I know, I know, it's a pub, serving the best pub food, don't worry, there are main entrees). I also had the non alcohol drink Apple Pie. Everything was amazing. The Bison burger was cooked exactly how I asked and tasted great and wasn't dry. I am jealous, though, because the wife let me have a bit of her fried chicken sandwich, and that was probably the best tasting chicken sandwich I've had at a restaurant. It was thick and more important, it was juicy. The staff was incredible, my water glass never went empty, and empty plates were promptly taken off the table. We didn't plan on coming here. We were shopping, got hungry, and I opened Google Maps and just put my finger down, and this is where it landed. If this place is not on a must eat list in Colorado, it definitely should be. Being from out of town, I feel like we struck gold finding this place.
We decided to go to the Moot House on an impromptu date night. It was not a bad decision! The service was arguably the fastest we've had at any restaurant in a while, the atmosphere was great and the prices were incredibly fair. The only thing I would point out is the food isn't over the top. I had the meatloaf and my partner had a burger. We shared an order of the pretzel rolls. We enjoyed a couple of drinks. Everything was good and certainly nothing to complain about but it wasn't GREAT, if that makes sense. Check out the Moot House and order some of their pretzel rolls or one of their signature cocktails. Worth your time, for sure! We will be back to try other menu items.
The food was really good and tasty!!. The drinks were not my favorite. I missed liquor on them..too much ice instead of liquor.
I started off with the cheese curds, which were very tasty. The sweet tomato sauce and tangy parsley aoli were a really a great compliment. The New York strip was perfectly medium and flavorful and the Brussels sprouts were a great side dish with a tangy and delicious flavor. Finished off with the creme brulee, which was good, but I wish it was warmer.
Met a friend here for dinner during happy hour! It was great! We got a table right next to the fireplace. The service was quick and friendly. We had drinks, pretzels (the mustard was to die for!!) and brussel sprouts as appetizer, and then I had steak for dinner and my friend had a burger. Overall, a very good meal!
